Update on the WiFi issue: Windows keeps trying to connect my home network as public (although I defined it as private...) and WiFi gets disconnected! after some several minutes, i got disconnected again and restart the method over again. So, I reinstalled the wireless drivers from the Intel website. HOWEVER - the WiFi menu DOES NOT give you an option to reconnect and essentially stops identifying ANY network so you must reboot. EDIT: I couldn't even submit because the wireless had dropped. Check your antivirus software as well as that often has a firewall and its own adapter to control it.
