Heck, if you're on a large LAN that's not yours, it could even be Spanning-Tree listening and waiting to see if there's loops in the network before forwarding. Mike, thanks for the ego boost :-) but i thought about it last night any power device that's depends on power to run no matter if it's a wall socket or i do realize that it shouldn't be her ISP but it could be depending if she has DSL or cable and how reliable of a connection that she gets. Then assign those IP's, Subnet, Gateway and DNS statically, and see if that makes any difference. Get More Info
